Morning brief, call notes and wrap-up

Three notifications you can answer without opening Hindsight. What you type goes into your standup.

Morning briefComing soon

Once a day, the first time Hindsight checks after you are back at your Mac (from 5 am), it sends a notification about your last workday: the time worked, how many things got done, what is next, and where you left off.

  • Use Copy standup in the notification to copy that day's standup for Slack without opening Hindsight.
  • Click the notification to open the brief: the work to pick up with the pull requests and pages it had open, what is next, and any activities that still need a look.
  • On Today, Morning brief opens it again at any time.

A note after each callComing soon

When a call of five minutes or more ends, in Zoom, Teams, Webex, Google Meet or a Slack huddle, Hindsight asks what was decided. Reply with Add a note and the note goes under Meetings in that day's standup, and into the text you copy. The call is named after its calendar event when Calendar context is on.

Hindsight never records audio. It only sees that a call window was on screen, and for how long.

Evening wrap-upComing soon

Shortly before the time you usually stop, Hindsight asks what to pick up tomorrow. Reply with Add for tomorrow and it becomes a Next item in today's standup, carried over to tomorrow and shown first in the morning brief. Your usual stop is learned from the last two weeks, so it needs three days of tracking first.
