Siri, Shortcuts and the keyboard

Hindsight answers from your own activity log, using the Text Engine you chose.

Ask Siri

  • “What did I work on today in Hindsight?”
  • “Ask Hindsight”, then ask anything, such as how long you were in Slack yesterday.
  • “How long did I spend on project in Hindsight?”
  • “Start tracking in Hindsight” or “Pause Hindsight”.
  • “Start a focus session in Hindsight”.

Shortcuts and Spotlight

The same actions are in the Shortcuts app, where you can chain them, for example a morning shortcut that reads yesterday's summary. They also appear when you search in Spotlight.

A keyboard shortcut for tracking

Set a Start/Stop Tracking shortcut in Settings → General. It works from anywhere, even while another app is in front. None is set by default.

Calendar context

Turn on Name meetings after calendar events in Settings → General, under Calendar, and meetings are named after your calendar events. Declined, canceled and all-day events are ignored.
